Yes, dlink has a program on their web site that allows you to record as well as view. You can also view thru an internet browser.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you're asking if it can be used as a web cam, no. You need to connect to the camera through a web browser or other special software. Out of the box it will not show up as a camera for Skype or other chat software. Doesn't mean someone could write something to make it work, but it doesn't work out of the box.
