QuestionHi. I’ve 1 air wrap which i bought in singapore. I use it a lot. I’m travelling to japan this dec&usa next year. My question : If i buy from japan, can use it in usa/australia ? vice versa, if i bought it in usa, can i use it in japan/australia

- Answer Hello SS, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Airwrap™ styler, along with other Dyson machines, was designed specifically for the countries in which they are made for and sold in, and machines manufactured for the United States are designed solely for 110-120v electricity. It is because of this fact that we are unable to have the machine converted to meet the specific country electrical code and laws. In order to use the machine in a different country a power converter would be needed. However, we do not recommend using a converter, as the unit will not perform at the normal expected life of a Dyson product. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

QuestionI have purchased 2 air wraps to give as Christmas presents. I have read the postings about it stopping after a short use and not going back on for 30 minutes and she was told about a problem with the WF8 serial number. Mine start with WF8. Problem?

Questioni bought dyson airwrap complete styler i am from pakistan and obviously there is a voltage difference between usa and pakistan so i cannot use it without converter i have seen many indian youtubers using dyson airwrap having the same voltage of 220v help

Dyson products are designed specifically for the countries in which they are made for and sold in, and machines manufactured for the United States are designed solely for 110-120v electricity. It is because of this fact that we are unable to have the machine converted to meet the specific country electrical code and laws. In order to use the machine in a different country a power converter would be needed. However, we do not recommend using a converter, as the unit will not perform at the normal expected life of a Dyson product. Please be aware that use of your machine outside of the country which it was purchased may void your warranty. - Answer Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The dryer attachment that comes with the Dyson Airwrap™ is designed to be used pre-style; it will take your hair from wet to damp. The attachment isn't intended for full-use drying, unlike the Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer, which does include our smoothing nozzle, to provide a smooth, finished style. - Answer Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Great question! The dryer attachment for the Airwrap styler was designed to take your hair from wet, to damp, ready for styling. QuestionI bought a dyson airwrap from Australia. Its a 240V airwrap, im currently in Taiwan now ,and its electrical voltage supplies only to 110v . Is that the reason why my airwrap is not working ? Or someone broke it during the flight ?

Complete 1.2 inch and 1.6 inch barrels, firm smoothing brush, soft smoothing brush, round volumizing brush, pre-styling dryer, storage case, no-slip matt, cleaning brush. Volume+Shape includes 1.2 inch barrels, soft smoothing brush, round volumizing brush, pre-styling dryer, non-slip mat, storage case and cleaning brush. Smooth+Control has 1.2 inch and 1.6 inch barrels, firm smoothing brush, pre-styling dryer, non-slip mat, storage case and the cleaning brush. Dyson's are not dual voltage, the US voltage is 110/120v and if used with a converter we are not able to guarantee the life of the unit and we cannot ship outside the US. QuestionI have a question about the dyson airwrap. Is it also suitable for thick hair? I really want to buy it but when I create curls they always fall out quickly. Please let me know

- Answer So my mom has thick hair and I tried curling it with the tool and they opened up a bit but it still looked beautiful. The curls won’t stay super tight. They will open up. For thicker hair you just have to take smaller ish sections also

QuestionAfter reading numerous concerns seems like dyson needs to come with a dual converter /dual voltage that’s safe to use. I travel a lot so this is something I cannot purchase.

QuestionI live part of the year in the United States (120V electricity) and part of the year in Hong Kong (220V). Would it work better to buy a US model and use a converter in Hong Kong or should I buy a Hong Kong model and use a converter in the US?

- Answer Hi Liz, this is Krystal with Dyson. Thank you for your interest in the Dyson Airwrap. The Dyson Airwrap sold in Japan is the same as the one sold in the US. However, the voltage is different as the voltage for each country is not the same. A machine purchased in the US will operate on 110-120 voltage and should not be used with a converter.
