A:AnswerHello Aaron! We do not have an available portable air conditioner that will run off 8 amps of power. We hope this information is helpful to you. –Thanks!-
A:AnswerHello Frigidaire Shopper! The exhaust hose from the air conditioner FFPA0822R1 is six inches in diameter and can range between 15-55 inches long. Hopefully this information is helpful to your shopping experience. –Thanks!-
A:AnswerThe hose stretches out, I would say probably a good 1.5/2ft from the window. If you're looking for something longer than 2 ft, I would recommend getting a different hose.
A:AnswerHello Alal. During the dehumidifying mode, you will need a garden hose (sold separately) to drain the condensate from the unit. The drain port is located in the rear towards the middle of the air conditioner. A drain hose is not required when using the Cool mode. Kindly, Anna
A:AnswerThis was also a issue for me. I ended up putting the window piece in place, screwing the AC attachment piece onto one side of the hose, then screwing the hose into the window and finally sliding the hose attachment onto the AC unit. The issue is that the hose doesn't stay screwed into either side very tightly, I think that maybe putting some duck tape on to help hold it in place during install could have helped. but I got it in place before I decided to do that.
A:AnswerGet a garden hose and screw it to the back of the units rubber attachment tightly. A small hose will do. Cut it if it's too long, and put the end in a bucket to c a tch the water.
A:AnswerHello MagSC! We recommend installing the hose into the window when using the air conditioner FFPA0822R1 to distribute any hot air. Using the air conditioner without the hose will cause improper temperatures within the space. We hope this information is helpful. –Thanks!-
A:AnswerYou can cut it to what ever size you need. Just keep in mind once you cut it you can't go back. It comes with an extender if you have a wider window so I'm guessing that'll help if you change Windows. I used a box cutter to cut maybe 10 times through the plastic, and then snapped it where the cut was.
A:AnswerIt should work fine as long as the handyman runs the vent hose all the way through to the outside of the house and insulates the new channel properly.
A:AnswerIf you don't vent the exhaust to a window - you will have to drain through the hose. The moisture leaves the unit through the exhaust. If you use it as a dehumidifier - you will need the drain no matter where you exhaust it.
A:AnswerAC mode only requires the exhaust in the window.
Dehumidifier mode requires an external hose that the user must provide. The manual requests that it be connected to a drain.
