• Yes, it is. It resists depths of up to 164' for use while swimming or in the rain.

The Forerunner 15 is intended for running and walking, meaning it does not include a swimming profile, therefore any data pertaining swimming will not be collected. You may use the device as a timer during swimming. However we recommend the Garmin Swim or any of our multi-sport watches that are designed for swimmers as well. ~QKO

• It is completely waterproof. It should keep track of the distance you move in the pool but probably not be very accurate since it is to keep track of steps or running distance.
