Does this watch calculate your calories burned very accurate if you're not using the hear rate monitor? I just bought this watch and having an issue with tracking my calories burned. It doesn't seem to be accurate at all, I mostly do resistance training and incorporate short runs as well but by the end of my workout the calories don't add up. I'm not using a heart rate monitor with it, just relying on the watch itself.

It won't be nearly as accurate. It can say how fast or slow you were going, but the wart rate monitor is necessary for it to know exactly how hard your body is working to move at that speed.

To me not using HR strap & transmitter for HR while doing weights doesn't make much sense. Mine gives me accurate readings plus helps me monitor between sets rests. Also keep tabs on heart rate which with squats & lunges can get pretty high.
