“Does the Nuvi 2789 LMT 7 gps need to be mounted above the dash board for it's internal antenna to work or can it be mounted lower in front of the dash board.”

• Although I have mine mounted on the dashboard, I've had it out of the cradle and holding it in the car and it worked just fine. There should be no problem with mounting it in front of the dashboard.

• It has a suction cup. It is placed where ever it can stay. Your preference.
