The vívosmart HR can be set up to have a specific sleep hours. Once the device detects that it has entered the sleep hours (ie: 10:00pm - 6:00am) it will then begin to automatically detect whether or not you are sleep. However, you can put the device into "Do Not Disturb Mode" at any time which turns off the backlight and vibration alerts. More information about sleep tracking can be found on the online owner's manual from the link below. http://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/vivosmarthr/EN-US/GUID-70D41BFB-2BB2-4933-BF95-47FF63140112.html {CW}
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The sleep mode works automatically - you put your typical sleep time in once (for example 11pm-6am), as long as you go to sleep before 6am it will track your sleeping.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It automatically detects your sleep. They still have some work to do in refining this. Mine says I am still sleeping for about a half hour after I wake up. On the Garmin Connect website you can edit your wake and sleep times. I contacted Garmin and reported this bug, hopefully they fix this.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It automatically tracks your sleep. Once you enter your designated usual sleep times in the app and it syncs, the tracker should use that info along with your movement/heart rate to realize you're now asleep and begin tracking.
