QuestionDoes it track and record your sleeping?

- Answer Yes. You have to set your normal sleep timeframe into the settings & it will track your sleep. It doesn't track naps during the day though. I have an odd schedule right now so I usually sleep 4 hours when I get home from work & then another 2-3 hours before going back into work & it will track one of those times for sleep but not both for the same day. Ive included a screenshot of a normal nights sleep I got so you can see it.

QuestionWhat about sea water and hot tub?Will the vivosmart be resistant to sea water for my swimming workout? Is it also resistant to hot water (104F)?

- Answer I don't know about sea water, but I do wear it in the pool when I'm swimming and it's fine. Even gives heart rate while swimming.

- Answer I am petite (5' 1", 120 lbs, small frame) and I felt it looked slightly too large on me - it was more obvious than, say, a large watch in my opinion. I was willing to overlook that, however the inaccuracy of the step counting (adding thousands of steps while a passenger in a car) made me return it.

QuestionCan this be charged using a USB wall charger?I have wondered why these devices specify "charge using your computer" but none say it's ok to plug into a USB wall charger. I used the wall charger with my Fitbit and the thing never charged or worked right. I don't know if the device was defective or if it was because I used the USB wall charger. At any rate, I like the Vivosmart and want to make sure using the USB wall charger will not negatively affect the functionality of the device. Thank you.

- Answer Yes, the vívosmart HR has options to change the orientation along with changing the screen based on the wrist it is being worn on. With the "Screen Orientation" option, you can select from a horizontal or vertical orientation. It also has an option called "Wrist Worn On", in the Device Settings, to customize which wrist the band is worn on. {CW}

QuestionContradicting ReviewsI am seeing contradicting reviews regarding the Vivosmart HR , I have Fitbit HR and it does cause skin irritation so I want to switch to something else with the same quality , the fitbit HR is really good , the HR monitoring and the Sleep tracking are perfect and so are the steps counting and the interface with the phone ? are the bugs with the Vivo smart HR fixable ? the sleep tracking seems inaccurate from what I hear..with the fit bit HR I didn't have to do anything neither set sleeping time or manually edit it and it works very well , looking for the same quality , any advice ?

- Answer Outside the syncing issue from garmin connect being down (due to maintenance, I haven't had problems with this device. I love it. I tighten the strap during my workouts and the readings are always within 3 bpm...plenty accurate for me. The sleeping is sometimes an issue simply because of my video game and Netflix addiction late night. Wake up times are spot on and so are the nights I just hit the sack. I think the device will keep improving with updates. I hate that people are having bad experiences with it, it has been great for me.

- Answer All you need to do is edit the activity after it has been synced to your Garmin Connect account (web) and change the activity type to Swimming or Walking instead of Running. -LB

- Answer It does so much more than a fit bit. You can answer your phone or stop it from ringing with your Garmin. You can read your text messages. You can see the weather for the day, the date, play your last music that you played. It has lots more to offer

- Answer I've been able to track meals and calories. I log them online and they are added to my chart for the day to tell me what I have left calorie wise so that I don't do over. It seems pretty accurate with the results.

- Answer Unless you are dead you DID burn calories. So no need to reset. Calories reset at midnight. Everybody burns calories every single second of every single day, even if you're just sitting there.
