Yes, text is displayed and you have the option to read or ignore the message and calls do display phone numbers. The watch also vibrates with text and calls.

Please try again later.Yes you get notifications for text messages and phone calls when it's connected to your phone through the Garmin Connection app. You can see when a text message comes through on it and have the ability to read them also. It also displays incoming phome calls and you can tap on ignore or answer, also you can dial the missed call by just tapping on the notification. You just can't answer the text messages or speak through it for phone calls.
