A:AnswerHi - We're glad you reached back out and apologize for any misunderstanding with regard to the dimensions of this unit and any needed clearances. The dryer is deeper in the rear than the washer. The overhang is 4" past the back panel of the washer, which means it sticks out past the vent, electrical, and plumbing connections. The dryer can sit up against a wall without adding any extra depth to the unit. The overall depth of 30 7/8" includes the overhang. The current dimensional diagram available is not correct and is in the process of being corrected. Here is the corrected document ---

A:AnswerHi - Thank you for reaching out regarding our Unitized washer/dryer combination unit. When installed in a closest we do recommend an additional 1" clearance in the front and at the top. If the unit will be vented out the side, please add 3" to the room depth. No other clearances are required. Please review information on Page 3 of the following document regarding closet installation:

A:AnswerHi - Thank you for reaching out and letting us know about the issue with the image shown in the specifications for this model. You are correct. The diagram doesn't show the overhang of the dryer in the rear. The good news is all dimensions are correct with the exception of the dimension to the centerline of the vent. It should be 13 1/4" not 12 1/2". We will share your comments with the team responsible for the online documentation. All our best! Vikki@GEA

A:AnswerHello there - Great question! This unit's dryer does not have a cool function. This model has Quick Fluff, which is a timed cycle with no heat. This cycle gives excellent results when tumbling pillows, comforters, etc. No heat is used - only room temperature air is circulated through the dryer. Thanks so much for considering GE Appliances! -Mikayla@GEA
A:AnswerHi - Thank you for reaching out to us. We apologize for the confusion. For side venting, 3 additional inches of room depth are needed versus the unit depth shown in the specifications. The vent needs to go down first and then to the left or to the right. Consequently, you will need 34" of depth overall which includes the elbow needed to side vent. We hope this clarifies the dimension requirements needed for this model. All our best! Vikki@GEA
A:AnswerHi - Your model offers load sensing and adaptive fill to provide just the right amount of water for best performance and low water usage. The wash basket will turn briefly and assess the weight of the load. It will also do this after the load is saturated with water to assess how absorbent the load is and will add additional water if needed. This takes the guesswork out of choosing the load size as the washer does it for you. We are glad you checked with us. All or best! Vikki@GEA
A:AnswerHi there - Thanks for reaching out about this, we've got you covered! The manufacturer's warranty is for one-year from date of purchase. Thanks so much for considering GE Appliances! -Mikayla@GEA
A:AnswerHello, thank you for your question. The weight of this unitized washer/dryer with a load of laundry in the washer is highly dependent on how much laundry is being washed and what settings have been selected as that will determine how much water is added. The base weight of this unit is 249.0lbs if you would like to try and calculate an approximate weight with your average loads of laundry. We hope this helps! -Chris@GEA
A:AnswerHello, thank you for your question. Drain & Spin, on most models of our washers, will add water for a couple of seconds. This helps balance the load and is normal. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have as we are always here to help! -Chris@GEA
A:AnswerHi there! We're happy to hear from you and would love to share more about this laundry center. The exhaust can be directed upward towards the ceiling. We suggest keeping the recommended venting lengths on page 13 of the manual in mind. Venting upwards will also prevent the appliance from being pushed back against the wall so extra room will be needed when considering the depth. Feel free to reach back out with any more questions. - John@GEA
