“Hi, does the lid stop halfway or does it have to be opened all the way to load/unload the clothes?”

• The lid must be opened all the way. Open it gently as this model's lid is prone to cracking and breaking the lower frame by the hinge if opened casually over a 18-24 months, after the standard warranty has expired. It is over $300 to repair unless DIY.

• I haven't tried stopping the lid halfway. I have enough room that the lid will fully open, which allows as much access to the washed clothes.

• The lid of this washer does not stop halfway. It must be opened fully to stay open and to remove or add items to the tub. -Kacie@GEAppliances
