A:AnswerYou can just fill the tank when it runs out. The side tank + internal reservoir hold about 1 gallon of water & it will run until it's nearly dry.
Once it's empty, it will light up letting you know you need to fill the water tank.
We've had it run down a few times, but I just glance at it some times & fill up the tank if I notice it's nearly empty most of the time.
A:AnswerOpal 2.0 out of box normally has made perfect cubed ice.
We purchased a side water tank adapter and as soon as we installed it the shaved ice started. Tried several cycles with and without the side tank. default= cubed. sidetank= shaved
A:AnswerI wore my original out too, I like the upgrades on this new model! The side tank is the best you have. I do not see a way to hookup to a pressurized water source.
A:AnswerThe product information is located on the upper back of the machine. If you do not have the QT code, you can register your device directly at the GE website.
A:AnswerIs the pump not working at all or is it just from time to time. I have noticed with my Opal 2.0 that occasionally right after I fill the side tank it will say “add water”. I found that by lifting the tank and pushing in the stopper, it will start making ice again, once I put the tank back in place. Almost like it becomes vapor locked.
Hope this helps.
A:AnswerIf its leaking on the bottom where the hose is attached to the reserve. It may not be a complete seal. Try to wrap electrical tape about 10 times for a tight fit.
