“What type of plastic is used for this machine???? Doesn’t appear to be a safe kind as I tried removing sticky tape used in packaging with small amount of lemon essential oil and the plastic immediately melted - which doesn’t happen with safe Plastic.”

ALL pure essential oils erode anything made from petrochemicals, including all plastics. However, oils containing citrus are particularly "corrosive", as are cinnamon, oregano and clove. Essential oils come in glass bottles for a good reason.
