A:AnswerI had the old Geek Squad plan, December 2023, I had automatic renewal, it included Geek support, maintenance and service on three devices plus Webroot. I've had this same plan since 2013. Without notifying me, Best Buy had discontinued GeekSquad protection plan with Webroot. I was charged $199.00 for Total tech, for additional $20.00 they would add Webroot. I demand a refund and cancel my plan. Automatic renewal should be I get the same plan, with no notification of changes.
A:AnswerProfits, Best Buy executives caught on to the number of consumers paying over retail price from various shopping outlets. Do you know how many customers of Best Buy will purchase thinking that the "Best Buy Totaltech" will solidify their chance of purchasing a next gen video gaming system?...
It's not about combating bots but just to maximize profits... As consumers we do have the purchasing power to say enough is enough by not buying into this madness but we all must be behind the cause.
A:AnswerRead the fine print. there is a fee associated with every claim so it it’s not cost free. Also if replacement parts or recondition parts are not available they’ll give you some prorate amount for new unit.

A:AnswerHey there,
If you buy a television with Totaltech and it can't be repaired, you will get a new one. This is because Totaltech includes up to two years of product protection on most new Best Buy purchases.
If your television breaks within two years of purchase, you can take it to any Best Buy store or call Geek Squad to schedule an in-home repair. If the television can't be repaired, Geek Squad will replace it with a new one of the same or equal value.
Here are some THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND about Totaltech product protection:
It covers most new Best Buy purchases, including televisions.
It lasts for up to two years from the date of purchase.
It covers accidental and non-accidental damage.
There is no deductible.
If you have any questions about Totaltech product protection, please contact Best Buy customer service.
I hope this info helps!
A:AnswerHi,
I called Best Buy customer service to confirm, and they told me that Webroot Secure Anywhere is not included in Totaltech membership.
If you are a Totaltech member and need internet security software for your cell phones, you will need to purchase it separately.
I hope this helps!
