Yes. Google Wifi replaces your traditional router. It goes directly to your modem using an Ethernet cable to set it up and get an internet connection from your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Then, you can add additional Google Wifi or Nest Wifi points to create a Wi-Fi mesh system. We recommend a maximum of 6 Wifi points in a single mesh setup including the primary router.
