Fantastic Wi-Fi coverage
Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed.
Replaced a single AC1300 router with this mesh setup and the coverage and performance is fantastic! Coverage now extends to our outside fire pit (about 40 feet) and is basically full speed in all corners of the house. Not a large house, about 2400 sq ft ranch, but previous router performance was not good enough. The satellites appear to provide better speed when connected via Ethernet but even when connected wireless the speed is good. Nice feature on each satellite allows an Ethernet connection to another device, or switch, if needed.
I love it!!! Couldn't figure out why my isp wasn't working with some of the devices in my house. Got the Google wifi and eureka. I haven't quite figured out the pausing of the internet yet for certain devices but overall it's great
I would recommend this to a friend

Ring Set-Up with Google Mesh
Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.
I purchased this Google Mesh system for the purpose of expanding my WiFi for a Ring set-up. After taking advantage of Best Buy’s free in-home consultation and speaking with a few other BB techs, I got the Google Mesh system. I used this YouTube video [https://youtu.be/wz62iZogrPQ] for set-up and wah-lah, I’ve got my doorbell & 2 stick-up cameras working seamlessly. Huge shout out to the techs at BB and the gentleman who made this very easy video!
I had very low wireless internet speed(8MB/s) in the furthest room of my house, I tried with wireless extenders and it improved the network(20MB/s) but not what I expected, After google wifi internet speed improved almost 10 times. Everybody in the house are very happy with this purchase.
A:AnswerThis mesh system is used as a replacement for your router. You still need to use a modem, which is not supplied. Connect one of these units to your modem and the other two around your house, setup is a breeze.
A:AnswerGoogle Wifi is a router that broadcasts Wi-Fi to any Wi-Fi capable devices to connect to the internet. Take note that you'll still need a modem connected to your Google Wifi using an Ethernet cable, to get internet connection from your Internet Service Provider. Take a look at this link for the setup requirements and guide on how to setup: https://support.google.com/wifi/answer/7183148
A:AnswerI'm not sure the question is really answerable because there are way too many variables, including the quality of the WiFi receiver in the testing device and differences in the testing procedure between apps. But, just to give you an example from my house, I am sitting upstairs from the hub about 10 feet from a mesh point, that on Google's test gives 950 down and 50 up, and using my Google Pixel 4a 5G cellphone on my Wifi network and the Speedtest (which selects a different node for testing) I get 65.4 down and 47.5 up.
A:AnswerThese don’t make your wifi any faster. They simply make it so there are no dead zones in your house. If you are experiencing the buffering the further you get away from your router, they will help. If you are experiencing it right in front of your current router, they won’t. Hope this helps!
