    • Data Encryption: true
    • Encryption Type: WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, WPA3-Personal (The security protocols or certification programs that protect the Wi-Fi network.)
    • Firewall Type: NAT, SPI (The method the firewall uses to filter and process data to increase network security, primarily by blocking malicious traffic requests while allowing legitimate traffic through.)
    • Security Features: Firewall, MAC Filter, IP Filter, Domain Filter
    • Parental Controls: true (Allows user to block unwanted content, signals, channels, networks, etc. from being received or accessed.)
  • Network
    • Quality Of Service (QoS) Traffic Prioritization: true (Allows a user to manage a device's network performance by configuring the types of traffic that receive top priority for transmission. High priority functions and applications receive maximum network performance, while low priority traffic receives minimum performance.)
    • Band Technology: Dual (Refers to the number of frequency bands used to wirelessly transmit an internet signal. For example, dual-band devices may use one 2.4 and one 5 GHz band, while tri-band devices may use one 2.4 and two 5 GHz bands. Multiple bands also provide more flexibility for designating connected devices to specific band use.)
    • Ethernet Standard: 10/100/1000 (Each standard is a variation of the IEEE 802.3 set of computer networking technologies known as Ethernet. New versions evolved to include higher bandwidth, different physical media, and other new and improved features. Standards are often denoted by speeds (in Megabits per second). For example, a 10/100/1000 Ethernet port transmits at 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and 1000 Mbps (1 Gbps).)

Q: What is meant by open VPN?

A: OpenVPN is a VPN service with no traffic or bandwidth limit. Amazing what you can find with Google. Or ANY search engine.

Q: Can you use this with Verizon FIOS service?

A: If you have a modem with a LAN output, it will work, and either up to the maximum speed from FIOS or the maximum speed of the Cuty, whichever is lowest.

Q: Will this work with starlink

A: If you have a modem with a LAN output, it will work, and either up to the maximum speed from Starlink or the maximum speed of the Cuty, whichever is lowest.

Q: Does it works for PS5 ?

A: The PS5 has no modem, just an Ethernet port. If you have a modem, which you need first, that has a LAN output, it will enable you to connect the PS5 to your ISP. at up to the maximum speed from the ISP or the maximum speed of the Cuty, whichever is lowest.

Q: Do you sell one time fee WiFi box. I do not have the Internet,

A: I THINK you are talking about what is often referred to, generically, as a MiFi, or a portable Hotspot, which is basically a cell phone that is dedicated to receiving and distributing WiFi service. If you search that term on BB you will find a number of devices that will fit this term and usability, at different price points, depending on features. There are a few one-time fee devices that will include 12Gb PER YEAR of data, starting at $110, and if that is all you need, you probably DON'T need this, or any other router. If, however, you want a reasonable amount of data, you will have to subscribe to a service (AT&T, Verizon, Charter Spectrum, T-Mobile, Boost, etc.), the same as you would with a cellphone. Also, you will need a device with an Ethernet port, which none of the one-time payment devices include.

    Fast and Speedy, great range

This CUDY router is great. Easy to set up...even for a non tech person like me. Came with everything I needed, detailed instructions that made set up simple and quick. It's fast! The range is far, I can get wi-fi from outside my house now. The unit looks cool and is light. Buying from Best Buy also easy and fast. The cost was fair. I'm happy!
