A:AnswerHi Lesa! You don't need to connect the Resideo Honeywell Home 7-Day Programmable Thermostat to Wi-Fi for it to work. Without being connected to the internet, it will function as a manual thermostat. However, if it isn't connected to Wi-Fi you will not be able to remotely control or access the thermostat through the My Total Connect Comfort app or website. We hope this helps!
A:AnswerPut your fan in “Auto”. It is possible that it was not set up properly. Look in manual for “settings”. Make sure furnace type is set up properly.
A:AnswerHello Thomas! You will be able to adjust the temperature from 50 - 90 degrees Fahrenheit on this 7-Day Programmable WiFi thermostat. Have a wonderful weekend!
A:AnswerThe Honeywell 7-Day Programmable thermostat works with standard 24 volt systems such as forced air, hydronic, heat pump, oil, gas, and electric. It will not work with millivolt systems, such as a gas
fireplace, or with 120/240 volt systems such as electric baseboard heat. We recommend reaching out to an HVAC professional to verify that it is compatible with your application.
A:AnswerI agree if an advertising displays a promise and did not deliver nor fulfill the promise is very bad and misleading marketing. Many companies provide(or state they provide) all disclosures when delivering a service or a product. I do believe they do up to a certain degree, however is very common nowadays to take advantage of people’s ignorance by making disclosures so detail, prolong, and complex that it would take anybody a full day to go over and still would end up not fully understanding. In this case, i am not sure whether BestBuy did have or not a sign of such, or whether “FOCUS” actually intended to provide a rebate or not, or the client saw an advertise and made the wrong judgement. But if $75 is a large amount for a company to pay back/rebate to any client, whether or not it fulfills a condition, I believe that that company should either not display such a sign nor provide such a marketing.
A:AnswerDon't know what Pro was talking about, furnace or thermostat not getting enough air. I doubt if the thermostat is not getting enough air so I'm guessing furnace. I would try running furnace without a filter and see if that works. If it does then I guess there might be something to it, if not either wiring error in thermostat or blue wire (common) which you need for power might be wrong in furnace. Since "C" isn't needed in a thermostat that is battery operated, then if it was a wiring error in furnace, it wouldn't have any affect on a battery operated thermostat, but would on new one. Also check if the new thermostat has settings (may have to look at manual) for gas or electric or heat pump. If that setting, if there is one, is incorrect could cause problems. If all of this is correct or doesn't apply I'm guessing the thermostat may be bad. Hope that helps.
A:AnswerHi Help! The Honeywell 7-Day Programmable Thermostat doesn't use a battery for power; it is hard-wired to your system by the C, or common, wire. If your screen is blank, check the following: check your circuit breaker and reset if necessary; make sure the power switch at heating and cooling system is on; make sure furnace door is closed securely; make sure C wire is securely connected at the thermostat and your system. You'll also want to ensure you are getting proper voltage at your thermostat. Feel free to call us directly at 1-855-733-5465 and we'll be happy to help you with these troubleshooting steps, and provide additional assistance if it's needed. We hope this helps!
A:AnswerYes.
The mobile app to program and control remotely needs access to your home's WiFi. It can be controlled/programmed at the wall thermostat, but what is the point in installing WiFi enabled/capable thermostat if that feature/functionality is not enabled?
I literally just installed a second Honeywell RTH6500 Wi-Fi Series myself on the lower level of my home today. I have both thermostats set to AUTO select between heat/cool systems, which is GREAT, when is can be 40 degrees in the a.m. and almost 90 in the afternoon -- I live on the Texas Gulf Coast. I LOVE this feature, and the fact that I can temporarily change the settings with my phone app from anywhere at any time. The app will also alert me IF the temperatures go up or down outside what is programmed/scheduled into the systems, indicating power or system failure.
