A:AnswerLikely millions. There are 28 preset color backgrounds you can choose, but then there's a "Custom" color scrub bar that allows you 359 starting-point color choices with mini scrub bars for percentage selection for Shade and Brightness. So...millions. In the pics you see I chose color 359 and then scrubbed the shade and brightness to get a coffee-color background that matches an accent wall in the living room. (excuse the still-to-be-painted/patched border from my last HUGE thermostat).
A:AnswerYes, the Honeywell Home Smart Color Thermostat with Wi-Fi Connectivity is capable of customizing up to periods (Wake, Leave, Return, Sleep) per day. -Jerry
A:AnswerHi Gary, this thermostat is not compatible with 5ghz. Please feel free to reach out to us on Facebook/Twitter with a private message if you would like assistance in finding a thermostat that works for you. -Jim
A:AnswerDepends on your set up
Assuming you have one air handler that pumps cool air from the ac compressor (Amana) during summer and hot Air from the furnace in winter then your air handler would have a circuit board that the thermostat talks to when calling for cooling or heating and this board in turn talks to your ac compressor outside or your furnace.
If this is the case this thermostat would work with your set up
A:AnswerYes you can. There are 4 slots you can enter different temps for the day. Wake up, Daytime, Evening and Sleep. You can have different temps for each of these and set the times they occur. The phone app is also available and easy to use
A:AnswerYou should be able too. When you set them up they ask you if you’re using heat only, cool only or both. They are great thermostats and are very easy to use them via wifi or at panel.
A:AnswerNo, the Honeywell WiFi Color Smart Thermostat can't even use remote sensors. It is just one small step "smarter" than a typical 7 day sleep-home-away-home programmable thermostat and it controls the temperature based on the reading at the thermostat. Even the ecobee, which probably has the best capabilities for using remote sensors, can't do anything based on the spread of temperature readings on its own. You MIGHT be able to do something like what you describe with additional programming in a third party app like IFTTT. But you'd need to be pretty good at smart home type programming to pull it off. Before you spend too much time trying to do this, run your recirculating fan manually and see if it is effective at leveling out the temperatures throughout the house. I ran our fan 24/7 for awhile trying reduce temperature differences but it didn't work.
A:AnswerShouldn’t be a problem, I have a Netgear Nighthawk X6 that has 1-2.4 GHz channel and 2-5GHz channels all setup with the same SSID and had no trouble with getting the thermostat to connect. I don’t have any experience with the Orbi model but if you do have trouble connecting you should be able to temporarily disable the 5GHz channel in the router configuration until after your thermostat has successfully connected.
A:AnswerThe large dimensions are the size of the box it comes in. I was wondering the same thing when I first saw the dimensions in the specifications section. The unit is 4.5w x 3.5h x 0.88d. I purchased one.
A:AnswerYes this will work with a heat pump system. It should actually detect the setup of your system and ask questions on whether it is a heat pump system.
