Depends on your set up Assuming you have one air handler that pumps cool air from the ac compressor (Amana) during summer and hot Air from the furnace in winter then your air handler would have a circuit board that the thermostat talks to when calling for cooling or heating and this board in turn talks to your ac compressor outside or your furnace. If this is the case this thermostat would work with your set up
