Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Nick! Yes, the Honeywell Smart Thermostat with Wi-Fi does require a common (C) wire. This wire will provide the 24 volts needed to power the thermostat. If you do not have a common wire available, Honeywell also offers the Lyric Round Wi-Fi thermostat (model # RCH9310WF), which does not require the 24 volt common wire for power. I hope this helps.
