“I currently have 2 traditional round Honeywell Thermostats (Master & Slave) which control two zones (1st & 2nd floor). Can I use the RTH9585WF1004/U with this setup? Would I just replace the Master or would I need to replace both? Thank you”

I do HVAC work. You would have to replace both stats.
