A:AnswerHi Otto, somehow I doubt you can play movies off this Chromebook when it is offline, because it (like most Chromebooks) has very limited Hard Drive space. That said, there is a slot for an SD card and those can hold a lot of movies if you buy a good card. I admit though I have never tried to play a movie on this chromebook from SD Card. But now I want to try :) If it works, that seems to me the likeliest way to watch movies while you are offline, for instance in an airplane or outer space.
A:AnswerWhen I use a stylus with this chromebook, I use a basic one that is not EMR or touch-sensitive, because I don't think this machine supports those. Then again I am never surprised if someone finds a way to do anything with a chromebook, so perhaps there is special software or an app for this purpose, expanding its touchscreen to work with EMR?
A:AnswerThere is no difference, not even in the battery, except the color. Sometimes some units of the gold have shipped with i5 instead of i3 processors due to shortages of the i3, though this appears to be temporary and only on some units.
A:AnswerIt does not. If you use Google docs, sheets, slides etc. You don't need Office. However I think online versions are available. Try using Google products to see if they work for you before making the switch. Yes it does work with a cloud based printer.
A:AnswerFuture updates will be free on the Chromebook. Here is a great article that talks about the ability to save apps on a SD card: https://www.aboutchromebooks.com/news/chrome-os-72-how-to-download-android-movies-music-to-sd-card-on-chromebook/
