Open domes will not work - these hearing aids require a seal in the opening of the ear canal or feedback occurs. I used the hearing aids for two weeks before returning and never got more than 7 hours usage out of a battery recharge. The recharging case will recharge them twice and the recharge time is only an hour or so.
