Google it there are tons of posts about it and HP has a policy of stonewalling users facing this issue.
A:AnswerThe ink cartridges are separate, so running out of color ink should not affect your ability to print in black ink. To be on the safe side, before printing your document, be sure to select the print in black and white option.

A:AnswerPretty sure it does - I did have to download the full printing software, vs. the HP Smart option. Once I did that, I was able to do a LOT more with the scanning features.
