• Yes, you can scan documents from an all in one printer, smartphone or tablet to this laptop. We recommend using the HP Smart app. This laptop does not have a DVD drive, but you can use an external USB CD/DVD drive with this laptop. You can also use a USB keypad (numeric) pad with this laptop.

• Hi stevo, you could use the built in webcam to take snapshots of documents. For watching DVD's or writing CD's you could get an external DVD/CD writer combo that plugs into one of the available USB ports and you can also get a number pad that plugs into a USB port as well.
