Hi LB, this laptop comes with a 128GB SSD hard drive. If you feel you need more storage you can always add an external hard drive for more storage capacity. For music creation a lot would depend on the software that you would be using. Typically the software MFR will list the minimum requirement and then recommended, you should go by the recommended requirements or higher to get the most out of the software you are looking to use.
