The C drive is the SSD (solid state drive) and it has windows and other essentials saved to it because SSDs are a lot faster but more expensive than your standard hard drive (the D: drive). So it has less memory than the D drive to keep costs down but they put it in there to load up windows and other stuff a lot faster. Just save most of your stuff on the D drive and save the C drive for stuff you want loaded up quickly. Im no expert but that's a very dumbed down version of what i found when doing research on how to build a pc.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your primary drive is a 120 GB solid state which has the OS on it which would leave it with only about 90 GB left free, however there is a 1 TB HHD also in this system for large file storage. You would want to put your fast access programs (your favorite game, autocad, solidworks...) on the SSD and your music, movies and data hogs on the HHD.
