A:Answer This MIGHT work. The challenge will be how to control the volume on the sub-woofer. If it has it's own volume control, that will probably affect the volume of these speakers. And, controlling the volume on the speakers will NOT control the volume of the sub, but there may be a solution:
First, make sure all of the connections are correct and the speakers are all plugged in and the power switches are all ON. Then, set the volume button on the speakers to (about) the middle. Do this on these speakers and on the sub if it has a volume control. Then set the volume on the computer to ZERO (DON'T use the mute button to do this, use the volume controls).
Then play something on the computer (music is best, you can play something on YouTube, etc) and slowly increase the volume coming out of the computer (using your computer volume control) until you hear some sound at the speakers.
If it sounds like things are beginning to work, turn the volume down on the speaker knob controls (not all the way) and increase the computer volume until it is all most maximum. Then turn the speaker knob volumes UP until the speakers are at the maximum volume you would want to listen to. Adjust the sub and the speakers (or just the speakers, if the sub has no volume control) until you have a nice sound shared between the sub and the speakers.
Then, if you only control the volume at the computer from that point forward, everything should be okay. Good luck!
