• If you're wondering if this remote works for smart TVs the answer is yes. You can get to the menu and turn on the smart function of your tv. However, if you're looking for it to work in the sense that it quickly toggles to various apps on your smart tv, it's not likely this remote will do all you need it to do. But heck it was on sale for 6 bucks, it replaces my missing basic remote all day.

• Yes it does. I use it on a LG and a Samsung TVs. The only thing you can not do is use your apps button because it does not have. So to navigate hulu Netflix or any other smart app you would need the old one because it does not have that HOME SMART button. But use mine for the fire stick so I can maneuver it with out using the fireatick control. It works for me. Good universal ckntrol..
