A:AnswerWe have a thermometer that we got at a local hardware store. It indicates safe freezer and refrigerator ranges. I keep it inside the freezer to check if it is in the safe zone. I don’t know the dial to temperature ratio, but I do know that at 3/4 on, the freezer is well into the safe zone for freezing foods. I recommend you buy one of these thermometers (about 3 or 4 inches long by 1/2 inch thick). It is a safety tool that would benefit every home.
A:AnswerClockwise (to the right) lowers the temperature. I bought an inexpensive freezer temperature gauge and adjusted it to maintain zero degrees, it about 2/3 of the way to Max cooling.
