A:AnswerYes it does. The response from Insignia makes no sense. If you look at the app you can see the warning. for some reason the warnings are not showing up on the web version of bestbuy.com. It is also on the package at the store.
A:AnswerYour best bet is to run through a kodaks to wherever you running it to and make sure that you are put in the cord inside of a tooth you can not buy a weather proofing table by Best Buy or anything else you would have to buy commercial because there are certain conditions for running a ethernet cord outside without it being protective because you will lose signals and everything else and you would have to have a booster to run it
A:AnswerThe Insignia person here just stated that this is 26 AWG. This is very concerning, as CAT 5e is supposed to be 24 AWG (smaller = bigger wires = less loss of signal). CAT 6 is supposed to have 23 AWG wires. How can this be called CAT 6 and have 26 AWG wires???
A:AnswerThere is absolutely zero indication on what AWG they are. These are low quality cables. They can handle high speeds according to the label but if you’re setting up a system with WAPs and POEs, this is not the cable for you. Go with Audioquest.
A:AnswerI think what you're asking is whether or not the cable is copper clad aluminum (CCA) or pure copper. I asked the same question and got a response of pure copper.
A:Answerwill only need shielding when your cable is running through an area of high electro-magnetic interference or radio frequency interference if that is ur issue then yes u need a shielded cable and this would not be the cable for u
A:AnswerThe internet cable meets Category 6 specifications, and is shielded from nearby electromagnetic interference. I have run the cable within a two inches of 20 Amp 110 Volt 60 Hz Single Phase AC Romex wire without signal interference issues. But, this cable is only rated for indoor use. It has no UV rating.
