“I have a Sony 5 CD player that shuffles,it is over 20 years old & will not open to use the cleaner CD that I purchased. Any idea how I can get it open?”

This is not the lens cleaner’s problem. This is 20yrs of accumulated airborne dust, and lint, plus other static cling debris swept off the surfaces of the CDs, which are stuck in the gears of the drawer mechanism (plus, the motor that pushes and pulls the drawer is old and weak now). You may just have to remove all the screws in the chassis and take the lid off and give the insides a thorough (but gentle) cleaning with cotton swabs damped in mild household cleaning spray, and a vacuum cleaner.
