Highly unlikely as most computers do not have an HDMI input (only output). This device, Insignia- RCA to HDMI Converter is specifically intended to connect older audio/video equipment to newer Television sets that strictly use HDMI inputs. NOW, as a DJ enthusiast I've done this, get an RCA to 1/8th inch Phono cable, run the output of your mixer to the microphone/audio input of your sound card on your computer, check your sound input configuration in Windows (assuming you're using a PC, other platforms would be similar), a little trial and error may occur while getting the settings right. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-6-stereo-to-rca-audio-cable-black/5813006.p?skuId=5813006

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should be able to run a cable from your soundboard out into the microphone input in your computer. I don’t believe you need anything such as this device to modify the signal. I’ve done it many times and it always works. Best if you use an auxiliary out as the sound for recording is always different than the ambient sound in the house.
