They released a firmware recently. I no longer have any disconnecting issues. It’s actually not disconnecting if you monitor the IP address through your router/gateway settings. But losing connection to the HomeKit api. It will tell you in the Home app that it’s not responding yet if you check connected devices. It is online

In some installations the proximity and orientation of the WiFi controller and the antenna wire from garage opener can impact your remote's range. If possible, move the Insignia controller further away from the opener. Another option is to use a plug adapter to rotate the controller 90 degrees right or left. The WiFi signal is strongest on the narrow end of the controller that has the cord attached. For best results have that end pointed towards the general direction of your WiFi router and away from the garage opener motor/antenna.
