“Does this have an alarm when closing the door through the app? A similar product from Chamberlain has an alarm louder than a fire alarm that sounds whenever the door is closed with the app, and I'm wondering if this does, too.”

It does emit beeps that's reasonably loud and also flashes the builtin LED strip on its side.

Please try again later.Yes, there is a 5 sec pre-motion alarm that activates when the door is closed via the Home app. The sound pressure level is 45db (much quieter than a smoke alarm).
