  • QuestionWhich rear camera do I need to purchase to work with this unit?

    • Answer Any car camera should work. This particular build was terrible as I got 2 camera off the rack and both where bad took 4 days and a call to JVC and 2 calls the camera manufacture. Lucky I was a electrician my trade and was able to ohm out the camera wires to figure this out. The radio has a 2nd wire to hook to switch the radio over to camera beside the yellow RCA jack that comes from the camera. The call it the reverser sensor wire. It was really just another power wire.

It’s a DVD multimedia receiver with a front disc slot and supports DVD-Video playback along with DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW discs, so you can watch movies from a DVD you insert directly into the unit. Like most car receivers that play video, the screen will usually only show DVD video when the vehicle is parked with the parking brake engaged (this is a safety feature). If the parking brake isn’t connected or engaged, video playback may be blocked on the front screen, but output to rear monitors (if installed) may still work depending on wiring.
