A:AnswerVoltage in one of the rear positive speaker wires turns it on when your head unit is turned on. When no voltage detected in speaker wire, it turns off. I will say that I noticed the blue light will turn on if a chime or warning sounds which uses a rear speaker wire but the light turns off after while. This occurred when truck was not running and I opened all the doors. I have never heard any noise when it turns on or off.
