• Your product key is preinstalled in the bios of the computer. Microsoft Windows 10, Home, Pro, Workstation key is based upon the computer hardware. So if you reload the OS from factory after upgrading it to pro, the OS will install as pro as that is the license attached to the hardware. Now if there is a major change to the hardware the OS may complain as it sees the computer as a different computer. I hope this helps.
