QuestionI've attached the device as instructed however I do not get a pop up or any other indication on the computer.I've inserted a tax disc but also nothing opens on the compute.I do have the green light and can hear the disc within the DVD writer moving?

- Answer Try moving if you haven't the usb directly into A usb slot. Have you checked, and seen if the drive shows up in your external devices list?

QuestionWhen i play a CD my screen goes black and i can't do anything else. I had to reboot. I am using a MacBook with latest MAC OS update (OS high sierra). What is the solution to this problem?

- Answer I don't think this has to do with the external drive, I use it on an iMac with OS Sierra and when inserting a CD iTunes opens up and plays it without issues. Check the settings on your MacBook, or check with Apple tech support.

- Answer The LG - 8x External Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW SuperMulti Blade Drive - Silver, Model # AP70NS50 is as being compatible with the Mac OS® X v.10.5.4 or Higher, and Direct X 9.0 or Higher Operating Systems. Regrettably, I am not sure of its compatibility with the new the Mac M1 chip. The drive does not come with a software installation disc for macOS devices. It should be automatically recognized by the operating system. You can check with Apple to see if the drive is listed as being compatible with the Mac M1 chip. ^Daphane
