A:AnswerI have no idea what RF and IR mean. I do know that I am terrible at working with devices and the internet. I have to say that I went to their website and had no problems setting up this controller and it is working really well with my Panasonic TV.
A:AnswerI am not familiar with the Apple TV but if it uses an infrared remote then the Logitech should control it. You may find the Apple TV already in the Logitech database.
A:AnswerYes, Logitech remotes have a huge database of devices, so you just tell the setup software what type of TV, Receiver, cable box, etc you have and it programs the remote to control your receiver when you press the volume button and your cable box when you press the channel buttons. It works great!
A:AnswerProbably not. The remote uses IR so it needs line of site with the reciever on the device. It does work through the glass front door on my entertainment cabinet.
A:AnswerProbably depends on the complexity of your system. I have a home theater and computer on one remote and had to get the Geek squad to program the 665 for me. It appeared to be pretty complex. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerThis is infrared only. If the LG can be controlled via infrared, then yes. I have a Samsung with RF remote, but it also receives infrared signals, so it works. I'm pretty sure most TVs accept infrared for this exact reason. I added an LG OLED TV to my remote and it came up in the database, so I'd bet it does work.
Just check to see if the set accepts infrared controls too.
