A:AnswerDear Sweetback;
I have a 1985 Sony Boombox. I have been able to run a cable from a modern computer tower to the Boombox, and sound came out of it. Anything is possible. You could do this and make it work. I know other techs would say, "Not possible. The technology is too old." I don't listen to them. Use your imagination. Figure it out. I did. And that was from a 33 year-old piece of machinery.
Best luck,
Consultant Brian
A:AnswerThe wires between the speakers and woofer are no more than 6 feet. Logitech doesn't make very long wires for speaker systems. If you are looking to extend the speakers, you may have to get an extended wire to plug into. Mostly, all stereo wires are made short, especially those for computers and electronic equipment.
Best of luck.
A:AnswerThat's a good question. With the redevelopment of the iPad over the past year, Apple is changing this feature to become a blue-tooth connection, not a hardware connection. It's been their goal for some time to get rid of wires, just like on their smartphones. If this model you have is older, you can plug in the device to the top of the iPad and it would work. All you'll get is sound coming out, but no control like on a normal laptop or tower. You'll need a regular computer to gain control over sound quality and style.
Hope that helps.
A:AnswerCortana doesn't hear you through the speakers. It hears you through a microphone. On a desktop, you need a freestanding mic so that Cortana will work. Most laptops have a built-in mic. If you don't have a mic, Cortana will not hear you but you can type your input to it. Most desktops have a cheap speaker built in, so you will be able to hear Cortana. If you add speakers, Cortana will sound better, but the built-in speaker will be ok. the short answer is that you don't need speakers, but you do need a mic. The cheapest mic you can get will do.
A:AnswerI'm not sure about your system, but that sounds just like what I encountered with my old, and them my new speaker system. Little did I know that if you place your curser over the speaker symbol (mine is) in the bottom right corner of the monitor. You click on that and mine gives you and option of internal speakers or "headphones". Headphones is also for the external system. Now they work great.
I hope this helps! Based on your question of 4 months ago, I sure hope that you had an answer by now.
A:AnswerAs I have not tested all available speaker systems for use with a PC, I cannot be fair in recommending any one system which could satisfy all queries.
A:Answeruhm... yes. and by plugging it in.. i typed your question into google and got this for you.
To use headphones, just plug in your headphone cable into the headphone/line out port on your Mac, if your headphones have a 1/4-inch stereo plug, you will need a 1/4-inch stereo female phono connector to 1/8-inch stereo mini-phono plug adapter.
A:AnswerDid you make sure the little green light is on, on the little black control deal on one of the wires, its a off on switch for sound and can also control volume if you want to.
A:AnswerThe cords coming from the unit are not very long. However, to achieve what you’re looking for, I’d suggest possibly picking up an AUX cable extender. Then you’re not limited to just the length of the built in cables.
A:AnswerIt sounds like you will need to purchase an adapter cable to connect with the turntable. The cable has a female end for the speakers and femalee RCA jacked on the other end.
