• A:Answer The MacBook Pro has slightly better battery life, GPU, speakers, and microphone, and screen brightness.. The MacBook Pro also has the Touch Bar, but the Air just has a regular row of function keys. Another pretty big difference is that the MacBook Air has no fans where as the MacBook Pro does have fans.

• A:Answer As far as I can tell it's perfect. You upgrade the iOS so any laptop you have is running on the latest software, no matter the release date. Also just because it was a 2020 model doesn't mean it was created that year. They continue to produce models outside the years, so you're getting a brand new computer with the latest software. What it doesn't have is whatever new thing Apple released after this model. My last Apple lasted 8 years. If you're only doing basic word processing and internet stuff, you don't need to upgrade all the time. If you're doing more than that, then you probably want a Pro model.
