A:AnswerThe MacBook Pro has slightly better battery life, GPU, speakers, and microphone, and screen brightness.. The MacBook Pro also has the Touch Bar, but the Air just has a regular row of function keys. Another pretty big difference is that the MacBook Air has no fans where as the MacBook Pro does have fans.
A:AnswerIt has a new processor designed by Apple called the M1. It is stated to be faster and more efficient than the Intel's they sell. There are a few little changes, this is just the largest change.
A:AnswerYes, they are often returns from costumers. The Geek Squad usually revises the merchandise and make sure everything is acceptable. Once you purchase the open box item, it comes with warrantee.
A:AnswerThis Laptop works very well with zoom. The camera quality has gotten better by bringing in natural colors and lighting. The zoom quality is perfect!
A:AnswerMacBook Air: Base: 1.1GHz dual-core Intel Core i3; High-end: 1.2GHz quad-core Core i7
M1 MacBook Air: M1 chip, 8-core CPU, 7-core GPU in the base model, 8-core in high-end, 16-core Neural engine
With the Intel-based MacBook Air, Apple shipped the $999 MacBook Air with a dual-core Core i3 Intel CPU that was barely powerful enough for even moderate activity. There was a higher-end quad-core Core i7 model but that was more expensive and had overheating issues.
When it comes to performance, the M1 MacBook Air is miles ahead of the Intel-based one. The performance leap is simply gigantic and it is something that one needs to experience themselves to understand just how big it is. Below are some performance improvements that Apple claims the new M1 MacBook Air offers:
Export a project for the web with iMovie up to 3x faster.
Integrate 3D effects into video in Final Cut Pro up to 5x faster.
For the first time, play back and edit multiple streams of full-quality, 4K ProRes video in Final Cut Pro without dropping a frame.
Export photos from Lightroom up to twice as fast.
Use ML-based features like Smart Conform in Final Cut Pro to intelligently frame a clip up to 4.3x faster.
Connectivity and Ports
MacBook Air: Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, 2x USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 ports
M1 MacBook Air: Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, 2x Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports
so make sure you buy only the macbook air with the new M1 chip inside
A:AnswerActually there is one but you have to order from Apple's website. I have heard of a few people getting them in stores but when I try to order one on Apple's site they have to ship it. You pick which model you want then it will give you an option to select 16 gb of ram.
A:AnswerIt depends on whether use the online or desktop versions of office, with online, it’s all saved to the cloud, not your computer, though you should be fine either way with 256 gbs of SSD
A:AnswerAs far as I can tell it's perfect. You upgrade the iOS so any laptop you have is running on the latest software, no matter the release date. Also just because it was a 2020 model doesn't mean it was created that year. They continue to produce models outside the years, so you're getting a brand new computer with the latest software. What it doesn't have is whatever new thing Apple released after this model. My last Apple lasted 8 years. If you're only doing basic word processing and internet stuff, you don't need to upgrade all the time. If you're doing more than that, then you probably want a Pro model.
A:Answercorrect it has no fans so its literally super quite (duh) but no overheating issues whatsoever. I game on it and do other stuff and no problem at all
A:AnswerYes! I use Macs for photo editing and graphic design as that is what Macs were originally designed for and still are superior over other devices.
