- Answer M1's at least when I got mine, didn't have native compatibility with Lightroom (this is on Adobe), this has changed being that Adobe just updated many of their offerings. Works just fine and fast!

- Answer I would visit the Tech Support/Geek Squad at best buy to see if they can run some diagnosis. The team they have at best buy has helped me out countless times. Great service all the time.

QuestionDoes the laptop charger use one of the two thunderbolt ports or does it charge via a barrel charger? Also what cable/adapter do you need to buy if you want to plug in since you need usb a ports to plug in wireless mouse, usb flash drive etc?

- Answer For charging this macbook pro (MBP) 14 inch, i use the magsafe cable connected to the usb c charging brick that comes with the MPB. You can get a Usb c to Usb c cable to charge it using any of the usb c ports of the MBP. As for an adaptor to attach usb A accessories i use the Satechi - USB Type-C Slim 7-in-1 Multiport Adapter with Ethernet - 4K HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, USB-C PD Charging - Space Gray, that you can get at best buy.

- Answer NO M1's have SSD expandability, the intel ones likely did. These DO NOT. It's possible you were viewing the intel specks on Apple's website. Apologies for the round-about way of saying that you are mistaken. Unless of corse there was an error on Apple's website, which is highly unlikely.

QuestionI know the battery lasts about 16 hours or more during the day. I'm concerned about how long the battery lasts however. If I always leave the Macbook Pro M1 Pro power cord plugged in all the time, how many years will the Macbook Pro M1 Pro last?

- Answer New Max products typically have smart charging where it will slow down the charging once it’s reach 95ish percent but it still isn’t recommended you keep it on the charge for extended times after it reaches 100%

- Answer Yes there are many. The laptop itself has 3 USBC ports out of the box. As well as an HDMI port, which natively supports a 2nd Monitor. But yes, beyond that, there are many hubs available for these to add additional expandability.

- Answer It depends on which apps you were interested in. Demo units can occasionally display apps that can be purchased/downloaded from the Mac App Store. https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/built-in-apps-mchl110b00b7/mac This is a great article to see which apps come with any MacBook.
