A:AnswerI bought it for my 9 year old daughter and she loves playing Beat Saber on it. Even though it says recommended for 13+ I’m sure the younger kids can play certain games on it.
A:AnswerYes for the moment he would have to use your account but they announced they're working on removing the login requirement soon, if they haven't already.
As for gaming systems, the Quest 2 has a built-in Android computer so you can download and play games on it from its built-in digital store without any additional systems. The Quest 2 is significantly more powerful than the Quest 1 so it has a wide array of games available to it. It is not compatible with the Playstation, Xbox, or Switch for VR (Playstation has its own VR headset and the Switch lets you put a cardboard box around it to make into a limited VR headset, albeit a very weak and low resolution one)
However if you have a gaming computer you can also buy a Oculus Link cable and run the Oculus app and it will treat the Oculus as if it were a PC VR headset, and they just added the ability to Air Link your Quest 2 via your wi-fi so if you have a good wi-fi router you can even play PC VR games wirelessly as well as it transmits the video to your headset and the control inputs from the headset back to your computer.
Keep in mind the games have to be VR compatible. There is a virtual desktop within the Oculus home app if you link it to your PC but it's like looking at a virtual computer screen while you control it with your mouse+keyboard or wireless game controller so it's not a true VR experience.
A:AnswerYou can use the oculas quest mobile app too look at the store and your apps and friends. Among some other things. Oculas quest has its own interface it is nothing like google cardboard or anything that has to do with inserting your phone. You can connect the oculas quest to your computer for PCVR games but you need a beefy enough pc to be able to play those games. All requirements you can find on either google or the quest forum.
A:AnswerIt dose a good job on low volumes making it so people around you cant hear enless you turn up the volume.
At low volumes the user can hear everything while people nearby cant
A:AnswerIt holds a 2 hour charge no batterys needed, but i do recommend getting a charging bank if you want more play time there are lots on amazon if you dont care for the price.
A:AnswerNo, the Quest is standalone. You can download games directly to the headset and run them off of it, but it does, of course, drain battery in doing so.
A:AnswerDesigned for Age 13+
Oculus content is rated through the International Age Rating Coalition (IARC) and is designed for ages 13 and older. Oculus Store content has content ratings. While oculas knows that children under 13 may want to use Oculus devices, they do not permit them to create accounts or use Oculus devices.
