When i was looking at the phones to purchase, the salesperson showed me the moto g4, and the moto g4plus. I chose to purchase the first one. The g4plus was $50 more, and the main difference was fingerprint recognition, and a laser pointer feature for the camera. I had no need for fingerprint recognition, and saved the extra $$. Hope that helps with the 2nd part of your question.
