Go into "Settings" then "Backup and Reset" on your G4 and ensure the "Back up my data" is "On." If not, turn it on and establish a backup account on Google. Your phone info will then be backed up to the Google "cloud" and can be brought over to your G5 during setup. I am not sure what the lag time is between setting up a new account and allowing sufficient time for your data to be backed up--might want to give it a day or two. If you have a SDC (mini-memory card) installed in your G4, make sure you "unmount" your SDC card from your G4 before you transfer it and your SIM card to your G5. Go to "Settings" and then select "Storage." Your SDC card will be at the bottom of the section. You should be able to "unmount" it there. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I went from a Samsung smart phone to the Motorola phone, I just followed the instructions that came with the phone and everything moved and populated the Motorola G 5.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well if you have had Google backing up your data you should just set up your phone and Google will sync the old info to your new one. If not, I know you can hook your old phone up to your computer then save your pics to a folder then transfer them over to your new phone. If your old phone is still operating, just go into the "Settings" and set up a back up with Google. Rick
