Yes, it should if Verizon says the phone is compatible with their service. But, beware because some phone service providers try to get you to purchase THEIR phones. As long as the old phone uses a sim card the same size as the new phone's sim card, it should work (or by using the adapter to the sim card) This Motorola - MotoX64GB was purchased for my husband and he still uses the "pay as you go" old service. This is the same as "pick up and go" AND "prepaid" phones they're just called different names. His old phone was the Motorola - MotoG and the old sim card was bigger than the new Moto X64GB sim card. However, the adapter piece surrounding the old sim card, was taken off before adding it to the new MotoX64GB phone. Perfect fit! My husband's phone works great!
