It holds about 2000 square feet of normal floor dirt having one cat. I run the machine twice a week over the entire house. Daily on certain sections. Probably empty it three times a week.

I have to empty it after ever run because of the dog hair but in to be fair it is full because of the dog hair. if it was just dirt and debris it would not have to be emptied every run. It has a big dirt bin.

If you have it run daily, you should not normally need to empty it more than once per run or less often. Emptying it is extremely easy for most people and I find to be not messy on my hands or surroundings.
